Leveling in World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich KingFiled Under: World of Warcraft Leveling
For many players, it’s been a long time since we’ve had to worry about World of Warcraft leveling. The Burning Crusade has been around for well over a year, and millions of players hit the level cap of 70 months ago. At 70, all players had to do was take part in the raiding and PvP content of the game, but that’ll be changing very soon. The next expansion, WoW: Wrath of the Lich King, launches in mid-November, opening up the continent of Northrend and raising the level cap up to 80.
That means that players will be back out in the field, exploring new zones, killing new monsters, and completing a lot of World of Warcraft quests, all in the name of leveling. The experience will be a little bit different than what players experienced in the first WoW expansion, the Burning Crusade. When that expansion pack was released, all players jumped into the new content in the same area: Hellfire Peninsula. In Wrath of the Lich King, players will have their choice of two new areas to start in: the Borean Tundra or the Howling Fjord. This should keep people more spread out and make the initial WoW leveling process less crowded and less frustrating.
It’s an exciting time for World of Warcraft players, and everyone is anxious to see new places and start leveling up to 80. World of Warcraft Burning Crusade was a fun and memorable experience, but it looks like Wrath of the Lich King may top it in every way.
